What drags a Minecraft server's TPS down?

A Minecraft server aims for 20 ticks per second, and most of that loop runs on a single core. Chunk generation, redstone, mob AI and entity count all add work to the same tick, and extra cores do not spread that load. A 20-core server on a low-frequency CPU can hold lower TPS than a 6-core server on a fast one.

Memory is the second factor. A vanilla or Paper server with 10-20 players is comfortable on 6-8 GB, while a Forge or Fabric modpack pushes 12-16 GB at the same player count. It is not only the mod count: world size and the number of loaded chunks drive memory too. Set the Java heap (Xmx) below the total memory so the operating system keeps its share.

The third factor is location. A Minecraft server aimed at Turkish players but hosted abroad adds tens of milliseconds for everyone, and block breaking and PvP start to feel delayed. Our servers in the Datacasa Istanbul data centre answer within 5-20 ms from major Turkish cities.

High single-core performance

A steady 20 TPS on AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO

Our Premium VDS plans run on AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 5975WX processors. Because the Minecraft main loop is sensitive to core speed, we deliver faster cores rather than more of them at the same budget.
You can install Paper, Purpur, Spigot, Bukkit, Forge or Fabric and keep the 20 TPS target even on busy worlds.

NVMe SSD storage

Chunk generation and world saves finish without stutter

Minecraft writes the world to disk continuously: new chunks are generated and saved as players explore. On spinning disks or shared storage that causes visible stutter.
Every plan uses enterprise-grade NVMe SSDs, so autosaves and backups on large worlds complete without players noticing.

DDoS protection

Stay online through an attack

Minecraft servers get attacked, especially busy communities on event days, and players get disconnected as a result.
Protection is layered: volumetric traffic is absorbed on the 10 Tbps upstream capacity, and the rest is filtered by MikroTik devices, XDP-based filtering and rule sets we develop in house. It is included with every plan, costs nothing extra, and we do not null-route your IP during an attack.

Full administrative access

No slot limits, any plugin or modpack

You connect with root or administrator rights. Install any Java version, move from Paper to Fabric, load your own modpack, install a panel such as Pterodactyl, or run several servers on one machine behind BungeeCord or Velocity.
You pay for hardware, not for slots. Choose Linux or Windows Server, with 24/7 technical support along the way.

Choosing a plan

Which Minecraft plan for how many players?

The table assumes a medium-sized world and a view distance of 8-10 chunks. Vanilla and Paper servers sit in the lower rows; Forge and Fabric modpacks should be sized from the upper ones.

Every plan includes a 10 Gbps uplink, DDR4 ECC memory and NVMe SSD storage. Leave 1-2 GB for the operating system when setting the Java heap, and upgrade mid-cycle whenever you need to.

Two processor families for your Minecraft server

Because Minecraft is sensitive to single-core speed we recommend the Premium line for modded and busy servers. Small vanilla worlds run fine on the Economic line.
