On MTA:SA, your scripts decide the hardware

MTA:SA is modest on hardware compared with modern games: the server process starts in a few hundred megabytes, and the official server manual flags approaching 1.2 GB as an out-of-memory warning. Giving the MTA process sixteen gigabytes buys you nothing; the RAM in your plan goes to MySQL and the OS. What really sets the requirement are the Lua scripts you run. A ready-made roleplay gamemode arrives with hundreds of script files, database queries and timers, and that is where the load comes from.

The second factor is the database. Almost every roleplay server uses MySQL/MariaDB, and query load grows with the player count. One badly written query causes in-game stutter even on strong hardware, so upgrading the plan is not always the fix. Script optimisation matters as much as hardware.

The third is latency. The MTA:SA player base is largely in Turkey. Hosted abroad, your players take tens of milliseconds extra, which shows up directly in vehicle synchronisation. Our servers in Datacasa Istanbul answer within 5-20 ms from major Turkish cities.

Turkey location

5-20 ms from your players

Your servers are hosted in the Datacasa data centre in Istanbul. Vehicle and player synchronisation in MTA:SA is latency-sensitive, and a local location is the biggest difference your players will feel.

Full control of your scripts

Lua, MySQL and resource management are yours

Connect as root. Upload your own gamemode, edit mtaserver.conf, run MySQL on the same machine or a separate one. There is no limit on resources or slots.

DDoS protection

Ready for attacks from rival servers

Competition between roleplay servers sometimes turns into attacks. The 10 Tbps upstream capacity works together with MikroTik devices, XDP-based filtering and in-house solutions on our own network; your server is not null-routed and your players stay connected.

Fast database

MySQL on NVMe SSD

Roleplay servers constantly read and write character, vehicle and inventory data. MySQL on enterprise NVMe SSD lowers query latency, and backups take seconds rather than minutes.

Choosing a plan

Which plan for how many players?

The table assumes a roleplay setup with the game server and MySQL on one machine. For script-heavy gamemodes, pick one tier higher.
