Silkroad Online server files run on Windows Server with MSSQL. GatewayServer, AgentServer, DownloadServer and usually SR_GameServer run alongside each other. None of them is heavy on its own. What really drives capacity planning is MSSQL's appetite for memory.
Leave MSSQL uncapped and it holds nearly all available memory, squeezing the game processes. The practical split is to give roughly a third of total memory to MSSQL. That single setting removes most of the stutter people see at peak hours.
The third factor is the processor side. Joymax publishes nothing official about how the server processes use cores, so we make no firm architectural claim here. The practical approach is to size your plan for peak moments such as job wars and busy unique spawns rather than for the average player count. We recommend the Ryzen Threadripper PRO based Premium line because it leaves headroom for those peaks.
