How much does a Terraria server need?

Terraria is very light on the server side. A vanilla server handles eight players in 1-2 GB, so expensive plans are unnecessary. What grows the requirement is world size and mods rather than player count.

Modded servers running tModLoader are a different picture. Large packs like Calamity multiply memory use and lengthen world generation. If you plan a modded server, budget at least twice what vanilla would need.

The third factor is clock speed. Re-Logic publishes no core requirement for the dedicated server, and the official wiki lists only memory and the .NET version. In practice what clears up stutter in large worlds and busy events (moon events, boss fights) is clock speed rather than core count.

Your servers are hosted in the Datacasa data centre in Istanbul. Low latency during boss fights and moon events means a visibly smoother game.

DDoS protection

Small servers can be targets too

Protection is layered: the 10 Tbps upstream capacity is backed by MikroTik devices, XDP-based filtering and in-house rule sets on our own network. It is included with every plan, we do not null-route your IP and there is no surcharge during an attack.
